Since introducing the first memory production log into the North Sea in 1985, Expro has established itself as the global market leader in cost-effective memory production logging. In addition, surface read-out PLTs are also available where Expro provides electric line services. The on-site acquisition services are backed up by Data Analysis Centres (DACs) which provide expert analysis to fit client needs.
Expro’s production logging strings can be deployed via slickline, coil tubing and electric line in vertical, deviated or horizontal wells. A range of sensors can be incorporated depending on the client needs, including specialist sensors such as capacitance water hold-up sensors, gas hold-up sensors and radioactive fluid density sensors. When in memory mode, high capacity memory allows high resolution logging over long intervals.
Fundamental to Expro’s approach to production logging are three key components:
Pre-job planning with the customer to ensure clear objectives, understand the well conditions and design the job specific programme
Well defined operational procedures to ensure the programme is adhered to and to confirm the data integrity before rigging down
Post-job analysis and reporting to provide customers with results in a clear and meaningful manner
