Expro’s Fluid Analysis Centre in Reading, UK, has been awarded the prestigious UKAS ISO 17025 accreditation for the compositional analysis of gases and oils.
The FAC is the first PVT laboratory to attain this level of accreditation. Expro is committed to providing a quality service to the industry and this achievement is evidence of that commitment.
ISO 17025 is a prestigious international laboratory accreditation program. It is formal recognition of the technical competence of a laboratory to carry out specific tests, allowing customers to be confident that the service provided is of the highest quality.
Compositional analysis is recognised as the most important aspect of PVT work. This accreditation ensures that the analysis offered by Expro is of the highest standard. Expro’s GOLD laboratories will adopt the practices and work to the same exacting standards as the Reading facility wherever possible.
The UKAS accreditation is additional to the ISO 9001 certification which has been in place at the FAC since 1999. ISO 9001 is a generic standard for quality management systems and ensures the compliance with the quality standard.

Expro’s Global Onsite Laboratory Data (GOLD) Systems bring full specification PVT and Compositional Analysis closer to our customers, removing the increasingly onerous requirement to ship samples across national boundaries. These operate as satellite laboratories to Expro’s FAC, with all instrument calibration and certification carried out to the same rigorous standards, and all data checked and verified by senior FAC personnel.
