Charles Woodburn

Chief Executive Officer

Charles was educated at Cambridge where he graduated with a PhD in Engineering. He joined Expro as CEO in August 2010, following 15 years with Schlumberger where he held many senior management roles, including President of Wireline up to 2009. Latterly, he was in charge of Schlumberger’s engineering and manufacturing, reporting directly to the Executive Vice President of Oilfield Services. Charles was appointed to Expro’s Board in September 2010.

Michael Jardon

Chief Operating Officer

Michael has had a highly-successful 16-year career with Schlumberger and with Vallourec & Mannesmann, leading the organisation’s commercial activities across North America, directing global research and development, as well as managing sales and strategy for the region. With Schlumberger he held senior roles in wireline, completions, well testing and subsea,  including Vice President Well Testing and Subsea,  responsible for North and South America. Michael was appointed to the Expro board in May 2011.

Group Finance Director

Prior to joining Expro, between 1982 and 2002, Michael worked in a number of operational, divisional and corporate roles, across various industry sectors, within TI Group plc. On a merger of TI Group plc with Smiths Group plc in 2002, he was appointed finance director of Smiths Medical division. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has a BSc in engineering.

Michael joined the Board as Finance Director in 2004 and became Corporate Development Director in December 2009. He assumed the role of Group Finance Director in January 2011.

Group General Counsel

Prior to joining Expro, John worked at the law firm Clifford Chance before moving to work in the energy sector, holding positions with BG Group PLC, Lattice Group PLC and latterly National Grid PLC.

John was appointed Group General Counsel and joined the Board in June 2006.

Appointments made subsequent to Expro’s acquisition by the Umbrellastream consortium in 2008 are by Expro International Group Holdings Ltd. Previously, appointments were by Expro International Group PLC.
