Thirty years of continued improvement in service quality and safety in Expro’s Europe CIS region has given Expro a large share of the traditional well testing, subsea landing string and slickline markets. Our commitment to our customers’ needs allows us to continue to drive excellence across our business. The Europe CIS region has 1,200 employees and specialises in all of Expro’s products, services and technology in Well Testing & Commissioning, Wireline Intervention and Connectors & Measurements.
The region has recently been awarded substantial wireline contracts for French operators Perenco in the Southern North Sea and Gaz de France in Holland. We have had success in being awarded well test contracts for Aurelian Oil in Romania and TK in Hungary. Expro was also awarded a large contract for well test, subsea and sampling for Lundin in Norway and well test, slickline, sampling and PLT for Youzhgas Energy in Russia. As well as these contracts, extensions have been awarded with companies PetroCanada and Chevron in the UK.
Shell commended Expro for our excellent safety performance record on the Brent Alpha. Apache North Sea also congratulated Expro on our swift and efficient work during the load-out for extra equipment for FA5-2.
Our teams in Bergen, Aksai and Continental Europe have all recorded significant safety achievements, while bases in Continental Europe, including Italy and Holland, achieved ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification in 2008, with Russia and the UK being awarded the same certificate earlier in the year.
The Connectors & Measurements teams in Ulverston, England, and Bomlo, Norway, are both making significant investment in new bases to ensure quality delivery to our customers. Expro has officially taken over its new multi-million-pound base in Ulverston, which is home to the company’s world-renowned Tronic products division. The impressive new Expro facility in Bomlo, Norway, which is the home of our Matre sensors, is also officially up and running.
An improvement programme at Aberdeen’s Churchill base is now complete, positioning it as a world-class subsea facility supporting Excellence in Operations globally. The £1.2million project saw major changes made to the layout of the workshop, designed to further enhance our ability to deliver industry-leading levels of safety, service quality and customer care.
The Churchill workshop team build and maintain Expro’s landing string technology in support of the UK sector, the subsea business unit and the regions, as well as providing global support for our subsea business.
Expro has shown its continued commitment to health and safety by renewing its membership to UK oil and gas safety partnership, STEP Change in Safety.
